Formerly known as Techcouver.com, the Techvibes Map started as a project which brought you the Web 2.0 map of Vancouver. The Techcouver map proved to be impossible to update and hardly "Web 2.0" material, so we updated the static image to a flash version. The flash version proved successful for awhile, but also had its drawbacks as it grew crowded. In an effort to move away from the sometimes-overused Web 2.0 handle and cover more technologies as well as cities, the "Techcouver" title was dropped and we created a new application using Google Maps.
